PASSERIFORMES: Dasyornithidae

Dasyornis brachypterus  

On a sunny morning following rain at Barren Grounds Reserve, less than 200 metres from the picnic ground car park along the track to the lookout, we came across two Eastern Bristlebirds making use of the puddles on the track.

One of them quickly disappeared into the vegetation but the other, luckily for us, stayed in view for a short time.
